These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Salty Engines LLC website at saltyengines.com, our AI chat widget, our SMS messaging program, and the mobile motor-vehicle repair services we provide. By contacting us, scheduling service, or using our website, you agree to these Terms.

Salty Engines LLC ("Salty Engines," "we," "us," or "our") is a Florida-licensed mobile motor-vehicle repair business operating under FDACS registration MV110988.

1. Services

We provide mobile mechanical services to motor vehicles in two Florida service territories:

• Miami area — Homestead through West Palm Beach (Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach). Phone: (786) 427-5646.
• Sarasota area — Naples through Tampa (Collier, Lee, Charlotte, Sarasota, Manatee, Hillsborough). Phone: (941) 323-4824.

Common services include oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, diagnostic scanning, module programming, battery testing and replacement, and pre-purchase inspections. Services are subject to availability, technician scheduling, and parts supply.

2. Written estimates and authorization (Florida Motor Vehicle Repair Act)

Salty Engines complies with the Florida Motor Vehicle Repair Act, Chapter 559, Part IX, Florida Statutes. Before we perform any repair whose estimated cost exceeds the statutory threshold, we will provide you with a written estimate and obtain your written authorization. The estimate will list parts, labor, applicable taxes, and our FDACS registration number (MV110988).

If, during the course of repair, we discover additional work that materially changes the cost or scope, we will stop work, contact you, and obtain your re-authorization in writing or by recorded acknowledgment before proceeding. You have the right to refuse the additional work; in that case we will reassemble the vehicle to the extent reasonably practicable and bill only for the work and parts already authorized.

3. Pricing and payment

Prices listed on the website are starting prices and are subject to change based on your specific vehicle, parts availability, and the work required. The authoritative price for your service is the one shown on your written estimate, after authorization.

Payment is due upon completion of service unless other arrangements have been agreed in writing. We accept commonly used payment methods. Late payments may incur reasonable interest as permitted by Florida law.

4. Warranty

Salty Engines warrants its workmanship for twelve (12) months from the date of completion, unless a longer or shorter period is stated in writing on your invoice. Parts are covered by the original manufacturer's warranty; we will pass through manufacturer warranty terms when applicable. The warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, neglect, alteration, or normal wear and tear, and does not cover work performed by another shop on the same components after our service.

5. SMS messaging program

When you provide your phone number to Salty Engines — on our contact form, in our AI chat widget, or verbally to a representative — you consent to receive service-related SMS from us about the repair you requested. Typical messages include appointment confirmations, technician arrival times, written-estimate links and authorization prompts, completion notices, and invoice and payment links.

• Message frequency: varies based on the service you requested
• Cost: standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply; we do not charge for SMS
• Carriers: we are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages

To opt out at any time, reply STOP to any of our messages. To get help, reply HELP or contact us at eli@saltyengines.com. We will send one confirmation after a STOP request and then no further SMS unless you opt back in.

6. AI chat widget

The chat widget on saltyengines.com uses third-party language-model providers to help answer questions and gather information about your service request. Conversations are stored in our customer-management system and used only to serve you. The chat is not a substitute for a written estimate; any quote given by the chat is preliminary until a written estimate is issued.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the website, chat, or SMS to harass, threaten, or defraud Salty Engines or third parties.
• Submit false information, including false vehicle ownership claims.
• Attempt to interfere with the operation of the website or chat (for example by automated scraping at scale, or by attempting to access systems you are not authorized to access).

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The website and chat are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Except for the express warranty of workmanship in Section 4 and any rights granted to you under Florida law that cannot be waived, Salty Engines disclaims all other warranties, express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Salty Engines's total liability arising out of or related to a particular service or transaction will not exceed the amount you paid for that service. Salty Engines is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of use of the vehicle beyond reasonable diagnostic and repair time, or for delays caused by parts availability, weather, or carrier issues.

9. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and any dispute arising from your use of our website, chat, SMS program, or services are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The exclusive venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County or Sarasota County, Florida, unless a different venue is required by Florida consumer-protection law. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer right granted by the Florida Motor Vehicle Repair Act or other applicable law.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the website, chat, SMS program, or services after a change indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
